HomeOrigins 2020 Announcement

Origins 2020 Will Be a Virtual Conference!

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the Origins 2020 conference at Word of Life in Schroon Lake, New York.

But, there’s good news!

Origins 2020 is still happening—it’s just happening online now!

We are excited to announce that the Creation Biology Society and Creation Geology Society will jointly meet for Origins 2020 on July 22-25 on an online platform. Here’s why this is good news:

  1. The conference is going to be much cheaper ($15 per person).
  2. You will not have to hassle with transportation or lodging.
  3. We will get to include international friends as well as those who have been unable to come to past Origins 2020 conferences for financial reasons.
  4. In addition to our normal technical presentation, we will also get general presentations on topics of great interest from multiple fantastic keynote speakers.
  5. We’re extending the abstract deadline to June 15!

We know what you’re thinking. How is this going to work? Below, we will outline for you how both registration and the conference itself will run.

You will need to register for Origins 2020 at Eventbrite at the following link ( The registration fee is only $15. Once we receive your registration, you will receive an email detailing the next steps.

The Conference

We will announce more details about the conference platform in the coming days. Stay tuned!

As mentioned above, we will have multiple keynote presentations on topics of general interest. Our plan is to have two keynote presentations a day from July 23-25 for a total of six amazing talks. One talk each day will be available to the general public via social media. The other talk will be restricted to Origins 2020 registrants (as will all of the technical talks).

We will also have some Zoom sessions to try and capture some of the communication that happens between sessions at Origins meetings. We realize this is no substitute for face to face communication, but we still think this will be of value to you. You will hear more details about the Zoom sessions in the coming days.
