served as host for the second BSG conference. This time, the program
was greatly expanded to include a broader range of topics centered
around the theme of Discontinuity. For the first time, scientists were
invited to present their research at a poster session. With the
attendance open to all interested parties, Discontinuity attracted
nearly 80 scientists and spectators from around the world. Funding for
Discontinuity was provided in part by the Institute for Creation
Research and by Cedarville University.
Baraminology'99: Creation Biology for the 21st Century
Liberty University, Aug. 5-7, 1999. The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Liberty University
hosted the first BSG workshop/conference. Founding BSG members Todd
Wood, Ashley Robinson, and Pete Williams designed the meeting to
introduce biologists to the work that the BSG had done up to that
point. Thanks to the generosity of a concerned donor, the conference
costs were completely provided, so all 25 scientists attended for free.
BSG members Paul Nelson, Ashley Robinson, Pete Williams, Kurt Wise, and
Todd Wood presented the theory and methodology of baraminology.
